"This painting is truly spiritual. I've aimed to capture the essence of a nature/plant spirit with a human face, paying homage to the great Leonardo Da Vinci's 'La Scapigliata' (The Lady with Dishevelled Hair). It is said, that nature spirits are the guardians of animals and plants, much like our own guardian angels. This piece exudes a sense of peace, love, and motherhood. It is almost like a modern-day icon, where a mother and child are replaced with a caring cat mother and her precious kitten. It is my attempt in this artwork to represent the beauty and power of nature."
