'The idea for this artwork had been brewing in my mind for several years, and I'm so happy it has finally come to life. Although it may seem a little bittersweet at first glance, it isn't meant to be sad. Instead, it's an uplifting piece that looks optimistically toward the future of this determined little pig.
The painting is my ironic take on the countless promises we make to ourselves every New Year—to quit bad habits, exercise more, eat better, or finally become the person we imagine we'll be. It's a cycle that's both amusing and wonderfully human.
